Job Title: Communications Manager (FT)

Reports to: Director of Development

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Salary:  $52,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Partnerships for Children is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and creative person to join our team as our Communications Manager. This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Development and Executive Director to develop communications and marketing strategies and will be responsible for the development of content and enhancing the organization’s engagement and recognition.

Responsibilities:

Communication Strategy:

  • Develop campaigns, timelines, and strategies for the promotion of PFC’s various fundraising events and activities throughout the year.
  • Enhance and increase engagement and outreach with broader audiences throughout Central Texas.
  • Identify and implement creative ways to recognize, support, and benefit partners and donors.
  • Measure and report on effectiveness of communication projects.
  • Establish internal communication processes to ensure everyone is in the loop and updated on the status of each project/initiative.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase PFC's online presence on various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Create engaging content, schedule posts, and monitor social media channels.

Website Management:

  • Ensure the PFC website is up to date with relevant content.
  • Regularly update information, visuals, and news to keep the audience informed.

Donor Communication:

  • Assist the Development Director in managing communication to donors including personalized thank-you messages.
  • Craft compelling content for the monthly newsletter, marketing collateral, and print documents showcasing PFC's impact, success stories, and upcoming events.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with established and new donors and partners.
  • Participate in PFC’s initiatives, projects, and events as needed to gather photos and materials for communication purposes.
  • Demonstrate and champion alignment with PFC's vision, mission, and values in daily work.
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as identified by the Director of Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital arts or other related field, preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft 365, Canva, Social Media platforms, Content Stack, Zoom
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with various audiences
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Understanding of nonprofit communication strategies and donor relations
  • Experience with social media management and content creation
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events; hybrid work includes a minimum of 2 onsite days per week
  • Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills
