Job Title: Waco Rainbow Room Coordinator

Reports to: Snr. Director of Programs  

Location: Waco, Texas (Hybrid) 

Salary: $20-22/hour (15 hours per week)

We are looking for a Rainbow Room Coordinator in Waco, this is a part-time position (15 hours per week) responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Rainbow Room by managing inventory, coordinating donations, assisting CPS caseworkers, and maintaining accurate records and reporting. This role requires a highly organized, compassionate, and self-motivated individual who enjoys building relationships with volunteers, donors, and community partners while ensuring children and families receive essential resources. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and families involved with the child welfare system.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Maintain stock of inventory in Rainbow Room for caseworkers to access 
  • Review and fill special requests as needed for caseworkers
  • Complete online purchasing of items to restock Rainbow Room inventory as needed 
  • Receive, track and enter incoming donations and inventory into tracking system 

Customer Service 

  • Provide excellent customer service to all CPS caseworkers, administrators, youth and families that enter the Rainbow Room
  • Manage volunteers as assigned to help with Rainbow Room and maintain relationships with regular donors, supporters, and volunteers
  • Ship items to youth and families as needed 

Administrative 

  • Support operations for the Rainbow Room and coordinate with Director of Programs to assess needs and ensure proper data collections in invoicing 
  • Properly document and track all receipts from donations and purchasing for proper monthly invoicing and bookkeeping 
  • Process reimbursements from McLennan County funds
  • Support donation drives and coordinate with volunteers
  • Provide inventory reports, invoices, to bookkeeper
  • Record and report on data for Rainbow Room grants and contracts 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events; hybrid work includes a minimum of 2 onsite days a week
  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Canva, Airtable, Amazon, Zoom 
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other related field, is a plus
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel to Austin
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in a physically demanding role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working with families of child protective services is a plus
