Volunteer NextStep mentors serve as life skills coaches, mentors, and support career shadowing opportunities for youth to explore their interests.

By becoming a NextStep Mentor, you will help youth ages 16 - 24 with lived experience connected with CPS explore their career interests as they age into the workforce, while building a strong bond as a trusted adult.

Not ready for one-on-one mentorship? Support NextStep Mentoring youth by getting involved in a career fair, mock interview, shadowing opportunities, or sharing career opportunities.
Partnerships for Children is proud to collaborate with Foster Angels of Central Texas to support youth with lived experience in foster care as they transition into adulthood.
Through their Bright Scholars program, Foster Angels provides academic support and educational resources. NextStep's pilot class will be composed of members of the Bright Scholars program and will coordinate mentorship, life skills training, and workforce readiness opportunities. Together, we work to ensure that every young person in the program has the guidance, tools, and encouragement they need to thrive in school, career, and life.
