ABOUT

Kira has an energy and zest for life that is unparalleled. She has a deep longing for connection and wants nothing more than to be included and needed. A big helper, she is quick to jump in and do things for others. She comes across as having a very confident persona but has a vulnerable side to her that needs reassurance and care. Always active, she enjoys getting out of the house to play and participate in various activities. She’d love to be involved in cheer or dance! At home, Kira enjoys puzzles, games, dressing up, and flexing her creative muscles. She is passionate about stuffed animals and has a whole collection that covers her bed. Kira loves being around people and especially enjoys having someone to play with her. She is good at expressing her wants and needs and also asks the most thought-provoking questions.

Kira’s forever family will be nurturing and loving, and preferably a two-parent home that has foster care experience. Kira thrives in knowing her daily routine; therefore, her family will provide her consistency within a structured environment that is calm with little commotion. Kira does well when she knows her set boundaries and rules, and they are followed through with consistently. She will do best in a home as an only child, although siblings can be considered depending on the personalities and dynamics. Her family will need to understand that for a successful placement, the transition period may be long and involve services. Kira has made leaps and bounds in her development but will need her family to continue advocating for her to receive the services she needs.
