ABOUT

Jordann is a fun, outgoing teen with many interests. She enjoys crocheting, journaling, origami, and has previously served on the yearbook staff as a photographer. She is looking forward to playing on a volleyball league. She plays basketball, too, but prefers to be a spectator of baseball, football, and soccer. Jordann’s ultimate Saturday night would include baking cupcakes, watching The Vampire Diaries, and snuggling with her best dog friend, Pablo. She has recently worked hard to be able to put on gel nails and likes to do her friends'. She loves the company of others and is always up for an adventure. Jordann enjoys being outdoors. She will happily go on a nature hike, but the only camping she is interested in is glamping – she says “no thanks” to bears and being without a shower. She would like to save some money for a telescope, which would come in handy for stargazing on those glamping trips. Though bears are not on her most-liked list, she adores many animals, especially dogs and cats. She often seeks out her buddy Pablo when she needs comfort. On a recent trip to a local farm, her sweet nature and ease with animals were noticed by several staff members. She is gentle and affectionate with them, protective of their vulnerabilities. Similarly, Jordann can be quite nurturing of younger children, which she comes by naturally. She thinks she would like to become a nurse as an adult, which is consistent with her caregiving nature.

Though Jordann speaks quietly, she considers herself an extrovert and is vocal in expressing her opinion. She has a strong sense of what she believes to be the right way and needs others to respect her perspective. In this way, she will do best with a family that is willing to listen to her viewpoint and support her independence and decision-making, while still providing her with guidance. Jordann’s forever family will also be eager to engage her in sports and other interests. They will be her loudest cheerleaders and recognize her many wonderful qualities. They will be patient as she learns to trust and will value her faith. Attending church should be a part of the family’s routine. Jordann hopes for a family with a mother and father, some pets, and possibly some younger children. She isn’t particular about where she lives, in the country or in the city, but wants to be close enough to her siblings to allow for frequent visits. The ideal family will be open to maintaining the healthy relationships Jordann has developed in the past while welcoming her into a new family and dreaming about her bright future. Jordann is sure to bring laughter and excitement to her forever family, and as she has said, “I like hanging out with friends, but I really want a family”.
