MORE THAN 30,000 CHILDREN ARE IN FOSTER CARE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS
Deciding to become foster/adoptive parents is a big decision, but it is a decision that children need more families to say YES to.
Many children in Central Texas are living in foster care; some are waiting for their parents to work through services before they can go home, and some are waiting for their forever family. There are many things to consider prior to making the decision to pursue adoption or becoming a foster parent. It’s good to take your time and make sure this is the right fit for your family.
To learn more about what is involved, the first step is to attend an info session where you'll learn more about the foster/adoption process, get a chance to meet the child placing agencies and get your questions answered. Partnerships for Children programs, The Heart Gallery and Foster Community, are proud to be part of the Adoption Collaborative and to work with a group of highly qualified child placing agencies in Central Texas, these agencies work with families to become licensed to foster and/or certified to adopt.
