Job Title: Event Manager (30-hour position)
Reports to: Development Director
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Salary: $38,000 - $43,500 (commensurate with experience)
Partnerships for Children is a non-profit organization that supports children in foster care and their caregivers. We are seeking an experienced Event Manager to plan and execute our annual gala, golf tournament, and other donor engagement events throughout the year. This position will work closely with the Development Director to cultivate relationships with vendors, donors and sponsors. Additionally, this role will support the planning of micro-events for our programs, source venues, and coordinate volunteers.

Responsibilities
- Lead, plan and manage all aspects of the annual gala including securing venues and vendors, soliciting sponsorships, negotiating contracts, and managing other agreements pertaining to the event.
- Establish timelines for staff, volunteers, committee and board to ensure event success.
- Strategize with Development Director to plan and execute other events, including 3rd party golf tournament, Girls & Giving, and other events promoting PFC programs. This includes, but is not limited to, concerts for KING music mentorship program and sourcing venues for other events.
- Serve as onsite lead for all events and project manage logistics.
- Work with Development Director and Executive Director to prospect and recruit corporate and individual sponsorships.
- Collaborate with Communications Manager to develop and execute event marketing and promotion strategies.
- Manage a collaborative Event Committee, by securing chair/chair elect for each event, defining key roles, and retaining and recruiting new committee members.
- Develop and manage event budgets and timelines.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify key areas for improvement.
- Input, edit, and maintain accurate information in donor tracking CRM.
- Prepare reports for staff and board members including donor analysis and event results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in event planning and management.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed for events; hybrid work includes a minimum of 2 onsite days a week.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience working with sponsors and donors to secure funding and resources.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of event planning software and tools.
- Passion for non-profit work and commitment to supporting children in foster care.
