Partnerships for Children’s newest program, The Heart Gallery of Central Texas, works with Child Protective Services to find forever families for older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs; often referred to as forgotten children. These are children who are living in foster care, many for extended periods of time, that are waiting for a permanent family and a life of stability and love.
The Heart Gallery of Central Texas is an art exhibit and community education/outreach initiative featuring children who are waiting for adoption. Creative and renowned photographers from throughout Texas have generously donated their time and talents to bringing the personalities of these beautiful children to life through photographs. Their portraits say much more than a thousand words for children who are waiting for loving forever families.
Every Sunday, Forever Families introduces a foster child in need of a forever family. Through the generosity of Spectrum News Austin, the Austin business community, and our supporters, we are able to highlight the uniqueness of each child we serve. Our goal is to help children in need by sharing their stories and educating viewers about some of the issues surrounding foster care adoptions. Forever Families airs every Sunday on Channel 8 in the Austin and San Antonio areas. Forever Families is a partnership between Spectrum News and Partnerships for Children.
